The little notebooks you will find in this Kora Club are created by Arzanàrt, an artisanal workshop that produces handmade Venetian marbled paper.
To recall marble or stone veining, they use a special technique with oil paints floating on water. Like us, this technique has Asian origin, it arrived in Italy only in 1600. Every single sheet of the Venetian marbled paper is made with the utmost care and, because they make their products by hand, each one is unique and unrepeatable.

Ca’ Macana is the best studio for traditional Venetian Mask. It is known throughout the world for the outstanding quality of its masks and for its innovation. Classic masks such as the bauta and the moretta are faithfully reproduced from authentic paintings and illustrations by Pietro Longhi and Francesco Guardi along with drawings by Giovanni Grevembroch.
Hidden away in a little alley, Paola has known the studio from her college days in Venice. We went back this spring, where we had the opportunity to attend one of their wonderful workshops. We ask them to create these little masks especially for our Kora Club and hope that one day you will be able to trace ours steps and visit them in person.
