Our Kora Club is more than a yarn club
It’s a way for us to give you a taste of our love for Tibetan Culture and its people, a way for you to join our path, walk together, and help in our effort to support Tibetan communities. But we are also an Italian brand so we had to bring something Italian into the Club, a special surprise for each club crafted with love in our home country.
What does the club include and how does it work?
Every other month, we will introduce a limited edition colorway of our Baby Yak Medium based on the mood we have created for that month. The mood is inspired by the colors of Tibet, its culture, and its landscape. There is no automatic renewal, so you are not bound to get the bi-monthly club if you don’t like what you see.
Registration is now open for two weeks, or earlier if we sell out. Your club will ship in two weeks.
The guest designer for this Kora is Marina Storm. Marina created the Braids of Joy Shawl in the exclusive new color Chartreuse Yellow (see below for more information)
Each club includes:
- Limited colorway skeins: you can choose the club with the number of skeins you want (3 to 8).
- The pattern through a download code you will find in the box.
- A card with the monthly mood.
- In addition, you can select the following add-on: “From Italy with love” (click the link to read more).
This add-on changes for every club and is something special made in Italy. It could be something handmade, special delicacies, good for your body and soul, or something you could use for your creativity.
Note: The skeins of the Kora club cannot be substituted for other colors and are non-refundable.
To knit the Braids of Joy Shawl, you’ll need 4 skeins. With 5 skeins, you can knit the shawl and a matchy hat.
About Braids of Joy
Braids of Joy is more than just a shawl; it is a woven story of happiness, warmth and loving moments. Inspired by the simple joys that give color to our days, this asymmetrical, triangular shawl wraps you in the comfort of Baby Yak yarn, soft as a cloud against your skin. Its unique design features sections of braided cables, like intricate paths that twist and connect, symbolizing the bonds we love.
The pattern is easy to memorize and wonderfully satisfying to knit. With each twist and turn of your cables, you are reminded of the small, joyful moments that make life feel fuller – a warm afternoon spent with a dear friend, the quiet comfort of knitting by the fireplace, the joy of losing yourself in a favorite book, or the precious time shared with family. These are the “braids” of joy that hold our hearts together.
Customizable to your needs, Braids of Joy is a shawl that is as versatile as it is beautiful. Keep it short for a cozier feel, perfect to drape over your shoulders for a light, elegant touch. Or, make it longer to wrap yourself in warmth, turning it into a cute statement piece. This shawl grows with you, just as joy grows with the little moments in our lives.

My name is Marina Storm and I am a Greek knitwear designer grown up in Greece, studied in Spain and currently living in Mainz, Germany.
I knit and write with my entire heart things that I like to wear and I hope others will also be happy to wear them. I hope to inspire you with my knitting designs, a pure reflection of what I love: draped garments with romantic but modern lacy details in simple lines offered in various languages. I want to keep things simple and easy to customize to your style!
Trying new techniques and teaching you step-by-step the method of them is something people appreciate in my patterns.
