“Greca” is an oversized cardigan worked flat in a single T-shaped piece.
A series of decreases shapes the two fronts and the lower part of the fronts are decorated with a mosaic pattern.
Once completed, the garment is folded and sewn along the sides, creating openings for the arms. The stitches along these openings are picked up for the sleeves which are worked top down.
The stitches along the lower edge are picked up to knit a deep twisted knit border. Lastly, the stitches along the two front edges are picked up to knit a twisted knit border to match those on the bottom edge and sleeves.

“Greca” è un cardigan oversized lavorato in piano in un unico pezzo a forma di T. I due davanti sono modellati da una serie di diminuzioni e la parte finale dei davanti è decorata da una lavorazione a mosaico.
Una volta completata questa lavorazione, il capo viene ripiegato e cucito lungo i fianchi, creando l’apertura per le braccia.
Lungo questa apertura vengono riprese le maglie per le maniche, che sono lavorate dall’alto verso il basso.
Lungo il bordo inferiore si riprendono le maglie e si lavora un alto bordo a coste ritorte. Infine si riprendono le maglie lungo i due davanti e si lavora un bordo uguale a quello inferiore e delle maniche.

Mi sono ispirata alla moda giapponese, come tutti gli ultimi capi. Mi piace che sia portabile in due modi, credo sia molto divertente e giovane: non si rischia di annoiarsi e si hanno due cardigan al prezzo di uno! Il motivo è lavorato mosaic, una lavorazione molto semplice e il nome “greca” si ispira appunto al motivo. Perfetto per l’inverno, per accoccolarsi dentro ma anche per le mezze stagioni perchè sotto ci puoi mettere di tutto, data la vestibilità ampia.
