    mYak Retreat in Italy | Monferrato Region | September 22– 26, 2025

    For our fall retreat, we have selected one of Northern Europe’s most beloved designers, Natasja Hornby (Moonstruck Knits)

    Our retreat will take place in the Monferrato area, where you will experience the delightful fusion of Ligurian influences paired with the rich flavors of Piedmont.  The location is so special that it lends its name to the renowned wine, Gavi di Gavi.

    We will take part in the traditional Vendemmia, one of the most cherished activities that brings Italian families together. Along with this, we will visit a local cellar and enjoy a wine tasting experience. Due to the strong Ligurian culinary influence in the area, we will also learn how to make the perfect focaccia. We will have the opportunity to knead the focaccia dough and discover all the secrets of bread making.

    Natasja will teach two amazing workshops that we can’t wait to reveal.

    mYak Creative Stitches Retreat in Italy | Dolomites | June 24-28, 2025

    June  24-28, 2025

    A summer retreat in the Italian Dolomites? Sign me up!

    For this retreat we decided to take you north to the stunning Dolomites mountains, in the small village were Paola grew up and still calls home. This retreat will , for the first time, be dedicated to the art of crochet, embroidery with a crochet hook as well as knitting, walking/hiking and an healthy lifestyle.

    For this retreat we are thrilled to have two very special guests: Moran Marlon aka @crochetobjet and Jonna Helin of Laine Publishing. Moran and Jonna will create exclusive designs and teach a total of three workshops. You will learn the art of embellish your knit with crochet and the joy of this artform as well lots of tricks to combine colors and fibers to create a unique multicolor pullover. For beginner crocheter we will organize virtual classes prior to the retreat so that you can learn some of the basic stitches.

    The magical Murano Island, famous for its glass artists has become the fixed location for our spring Knitting Retreat.

    This island is really special for us and we want to share with you all the beauty it can offers. Walking around the small alleys of this island you can feel the perfume of art and traditions in tranquility.

    To make it even more special, we decide to host the wonderful Tracie and Jodie aka The Grocery Girls.
