The Syltrose Breeze is an absolute dream! It’s a breezy, lightweight summer version of the beloved Syltrose Sweater, inspired by the beauty and resilience of the wild roses (Rosa rugosa) that bloom brightly along the windy coastlines.

With its stunningly feminine look, optional short or long sleeves, and flowing drape, this design is the perfect companion for warm days and relaxed evenings.

I’m so excited to tell you about the amazing results I’ve had using the luxurious Fior di Lino yarn from mYak! This wonderfully soft blend of fine wool, baby yak, and linen gives the sweater a natural feel, a touch of fluffiness, and an elegant finish. The gauge (24 sts x 35 rows) and the delicate yarn result in a fine, airy fabric with beautiful drape.

Just like the original, the sweater is worked seamlessly from the top down. The eye-catching styl- ised colourwork yoke, a tribute to the leaves and blossoms of the Rosa rugosa, is the absolute showstopper!

I’m so excited to tell you about the colourwork! It’s followed by a raglan construction, which is great news as it ensures a flattering fit in all sizes. The body gently flares into a subtle A-line, creat- ing a soft silhouette and added comfort. The neckline is shaped by elegant German short rows, while I-cord edges in a contrasting colour provide a polished frame to the design.

The pattern includes both short- and long-sleeve options, so you can tailor your Breeze sweater to your style—whether for a beach walk or a late summer evening.

This pattern is perfect for experienced knitters who love colourwork and attention to detail. We’ve put it through its paces to make sure you’ll be knitting your heart out!
