Fractured Light
From: $160.00
by Aimee DeBaun
A celebration of color born from shattering light.
Fractured Light is inspired by the phenomenon of light splitting into a full spectrum of color creating a visual reminder that beauty and strength often emerge from places that are cracked open. Tibetan Cloud, with its richly varied palette, becomes the perfect medium for exploring this idea. Its shades can be expressed in quiet simplicity or layered into vibrant arrangements of many. This collection includes four pieces: a scarf, a cowl, fingerless mitts, and a hat. Just as light fractures into countless hues, these accessories offer multiple ways to play with the extraordinary colors of mYak’s Tibetan Cloud. Whether worn together as a set or individually, each piece brings warmth, color, and personality to winter days and nights. The palette options range from bold and expressive to calm and understated, allowing you to choose the style that moves you.
Fractured Light will be updated over the course of six months as each accessory pattern is added. You’ll receive every piece in the collection and every palette option at no additional cost, giving you the full spectrum of patterns for your initial purchase price.
Each bundle is made of 14 mini skeins of our soft Tibetan Cloud.
The pattern offers three different versions to utilize the 14-color palette, allowing you to choose the density of your stripes:
Version 1: Results in 14 stripes.
Version 2 (Sample): Results in 28 stripes. (The sample shawl was created using this version, knitting 16 rounds for each color stripe, plus one extra round at the beginning and end to hold the tassels.)
Version 3: Results in 56 stripes.
The palette Simply Neutral (made of 5 colors- full 100gr skeins), uses color blocks (Version 4). With these five colors, you have complete freedom to divide the rows and break the colors into the striping sequence of your choice.
The pattern is not included but you can find it on Ravely here.
You can also create your own color combination by choosing your skeins in Tibetan Cloud Wool.
