Lucia’s Inspiration

Making a shawl is always a way of exploring stitches, combining colors and thinking about structures, in the case of honey pop, the result of joining these premises is reminiscent of a colorful honeycomb, with a very defined structure reinforced by the fact that it is a triangular shawl, a pure and simple geometry, like those built by bees.

The choice of colors reminds me a bit of pop art from the 60s.

It is a very simple shawl to knit, it is only necessary to know the slip stitch technique, it is also entertaining and surprising, a shawl with which you will enjoy knitting. In addition, the cotton and yak mix of the yarn makes it perfect for any time of the year.

Lucía Ruiz de Aguirre lives in A Coruña, Galicia, in the northwest of Spain. She started knitting in 2015 and designing her own patterns in 2016. Lucia loves geometry and likes to make her patterns easy to follow and easy to knit. You can find Lucía’s works on her website luymou.com and on Instagram @luymou
