This new-to-brioche friendly scarf is worked in sections of 1 x 1 rib, one colour brioche, garter, and a two-colour brioche section. The scarf is worked bottom up, with a k1 x p1 x k1 border that looks a lot like an I-cord edge, but much easier to stitch.
A couple other new-to-brioche friendly features: no increase in brioche, and the scarf uses a long tail cast-on worked on very large needles – it’s a fun way to knit a stretchy cast-on without needing to use a more technically involved cast-on. There are two sizes you can knit, one just long enough to tie neatly around the neck, or a longer version that allows for more styling options.
