Longitude

Longitude is one of the 36 stunning designs included in Nora’s new book Knit Fold Pleat Repeat. Seven significant vertical tucks provide the major design element for this generous scarf/stole. The tucks pull in considerably, leaving the stockinette stitch to expand and flutter. A few garter ridges add definition to the area where the plain knitting ends and the tucking begins and vice versa. On the other side, special care has been given to the appearance with the addition of twisted stitches to secure the reverse side of each tuck. After all, there really is no wrong side of a scarf or stole. When worn, both sides are likely to make an appearance.
