Schneeflocken Shawl

Every winter I am waiting for this moment, when I look through a window and see the first snow falling down. Since I was a child this is a very magical moment during the cold time of the year for me. I always smile when I see the first snow falling down and my mood becomes better no matter what. For a long time, I wanted to capture this feeling in a shawl design and I was seeking for a specific yarn. With Baby Yak Medium, I have finally found the perfect yarn for this idea. I call it “Schneeflocken” that means snowflakes in German.
The shawl has an asymmetrical triangular shape, beginning from one corner and working to the opposite. The stitch pattern is made of Garter Stitch in combination with small (4 stitches) and big (8 stitches) cables. The edges are worked with I-Cord technique.
The skill level of the pattern is intermediate and it is suitable for knitters with cable knitting experience or for knitting beginners, looking for a challenging project with first cables to try.
