Wrap yourself in sunshine with this boldly patterned scarf worked in a beautiful golden shade of mYak Baby Yak Medium. Diamond shapes pop off a background of garter stitch for a texture lover’s dream.

Although this is a scarf, it is important to obtain gauge in order to avoid running out of yarn and to have your finished scarf match the size shown. Adjust your needle size as necessary to obtain gauge. The gauge given in the pattern is a blocked gauge.

Right twist and left twist stitches are like mini two stitch cables. However, there is no need for a cable needle making them much quicker to knit. They begin very similarly to k2tog and ssk decreases. A word of caution if you knit a lot of patterns using these decreases, muscle memory might start taking over and you’ll find yourself reverting to k2tog and ssk. Count your stitches from time to time to be sure you’re on track and haven’t inadvertently decreased. Trust me, I learned this the hard way…
