Mint Affogato is a simple tip-to-tip shawl, featuring the lace in a panel, centered on a garter stitch background. The shawl is edged with picot nubs, which add a great texture to the mix. Slipped stitches and cables along the edge detail allow for hidden side shaping. The design allows you to dip into a few different techniques as you work, and the result is a soft and delicate shawl with some beautiful bold detail.
The small size uses a single skein of Tibetan Cloud and is meant to be worn more like a scarf – laid around the neck, or tied or folded with tails. Worn under an open jacket collar, it adds warmth without a lot of fabric, but it’s large enough to feel substantial and add some warmth on a cool day.
