The yak and cashmere fibers of mYak yarns are so lovely to feel slipping through your hands. I wanted to create a simple accessory that would allow knitters (especially those working with mYak for the first time) to enjoy the feel of the fabric as they work and not be overwhelmed by patterning. The diagonal lace motif is a modern geometrical play on the high mountains and low valleys of the Tibetan landscape. The intersecting lines have an asymmetry while you’re working the wrap, but the overall finished piece is perfectly balanced (Julie Hoover).

Lucca is a virtually weightless scarf that features a modern, minimal, geometric lace motif. The diagonal lines overlap to form shifting diamond patterns, creating an elegant accessory that can be worn just as easily over a summer dress as a winter coat. The lace pattern, which is easy to read and anticipate, is worked from charts that all level of lace knitters will find enjoyable.

Each kit contains the yarn you will need to complete your project.

NOTE: on our baby yak colors, we only dye on the natural basis, no bleaching or decoloring. Each color will vary from season to season depending on the shade of the natural fibers, making it at times darker and at times lighter. This is the beauty of working with natural fibers and therefore the shade of the sample you see photographed here, might not always correspond to the shade we have in stock or at your local LYS.
