Sambuco

“Sambuco” (the word for “elder” in Italian) is an asymmetrical shawl with an unusual shape.
The shawl is finished with I-cord borders for a tailored look.
The knitting starts with the first color in a simple eyelet lace pattern, it continues with a garter stitch stripe pattern as color two is added; the second color is used to repeat the eyelet pattern.
The same succession of sections is repeated as the third and final color is added.
You start knitting from the narrow tip of the shawl, so it can be made as long or as short as you want, depending on how much yarn you have!

“Sambuco” è uno scialle asimmetrico con una forma inconsueta.
È rifinito con un bordo I-cord che dona un aspetto più curato allo scialle.
Si incomincia a lavorare con il primo colore un semplice motivo di pizzo, si prosegue la lavorazione a maglia legaccio a righe, inserendo il secondo colore e si ripete la lavorazione a occhielli.
Si ripete la stessa cosa con il terzo colore e si conclude proprio con questo.
Si incomincia a lavorare da una punta, per cui sarà possibile realizzarlo in varie misure, a seconda della disponibilità di filato che si possiede!
