Our Kora Club is more than a yarn club

New pre-orders open shipping at the end of November.
When we launched our tenth Kora Yarn Club couple of weeks ago, it sold out in a few hours. We managed to put in production another batch of the dark grey Shadow and a first pre-order, but again, it sold out super fast. We were not able to accomodate everyone and received many email asking for more.  We have decided to postpone the next Kora club and use that fiber to dye more Shadow. We are now opening a second pre-order that will ship out at the end of November.
The good news is that if you missed the Kora Club, you can preorder it now!

It’s a way for us to give you a taste of our love for Tibetan Culture and its people, a way for you to join our path, to walk together and help in our effort to support Tibetan communities. But we are also an Italian brand so we had to bring something Italian into the Club, a special surprise for each club crafted with love in our home country.

What does the club include and how does it work?

Every other month we will introduce a limited edition colorway of our Baby Yak Medium (other lines might follow) based on the mood we have created for that month. The mood is inspired by the colors of Tibet, its culture and landscape. There is no automatic renewal so you are not bound to get the bi-monthly club if you don’t like what you see.

Registration is now open for two weeks until, or before if we sell out. Your club will ship at the end of November.

The guest designer is Thea Colman and she has created the Smokeshow Vest in the exclusive new color Shadow (see below for more information)

Each club includes:

• Limited colorway skeins: you can choose the basic club with the number of skeins you want (3 to 10).
• The exclusive vest pattern by Thea Colman
• A card with the monthly mood
• In addition you can select the following add on: “From Italy with love” (click the link to read more).

This add on changes for every club and is something special made in Italy. It could be something handmade, special delicacies, something good for your body and soul, or something you could use for your creativity.

Sizes above reflect circumference around bust, when worn buttoned and are based on final fabric. For fit shown, choose the size that allows for 4-6”/10-15.25cm positive ease at bust.

About Smokeshow Vest

Smokeshow was designed to highlight the deep dark gray of this gorgeous yarn. The moody shade of the Shadow colorway has a timeless quality to it, so I went with a classic buttoned vest with allover cables, designing a piece that would be right at home in a library, with a leather chair and a favorite book.

The overall cable motif is subtle, with just a bit of hidden texture, and the button bands are worked in twisted rib for added visual interest. The ribbed hem plays right into the cable motif, and the overall effect is simple and classic. Since Shadow is such a perfect wardrobe staple, Smokeshow is a versatile knit that might get noticed in any outfit you create, but it doesn’t look for the attention. (Thea Colman)

Designer Bio: Thea Colman

Thea Colman is a knitwear designer out of Boston, who’s combined her hobbies and created a career to justify all her favorite purchases — yarn, drinks, and vintage glassware! She designs under the name BabyCocktails and her patterns often feature cables, lace, and textures that look harder than they are. Each one is named after a cocktail. Both the knits and the drinks can be found on her @theacolman Instagram account, on her website at http://www.babycocktails.com, and on Ravelry under BabyCocktails.
