For our fall retreat we have chosen one of the most beloved and talented designers in our community: Melanie Berg.
Just her presence should be enough to get you to register but in a good mYak fashion, we want to make our retreats as wonderful as possible for both your souls and your tummy so this year we will welcome you to a true paradise for gourmands: the Langhe Region.
We’ll see sheep cheese production done in the old-fashioned way, do the tasting of Barolo – one of the best wines in the world and you will have the opportunity to enjoy some truffles. It will be a gastronomic experience discovering the flavors of raw milk cheese and in Borgomale we will meet Silvio Pistone and his sheeps.
Melanie will teach two amazing workshops:
Shawl Love is the ultimate workshop for anyone who adores knitting shawls. Led by renowned designer Melanie Berg, this workshop will take you through the ins and outs of shawl knitting, from cast-on to cast-off.
Understanding Color is a vibrant and exciting workshop that will teach you how to create stunning color combinations for your knitting projects. Led by an experienced color expert, you’ll discover which colors work best together, and how to refine your choices by adding texture.

Non-knitter friend or partner $ 2825 | 2580 € per person
We’ll email registered participants with information on how to make payment.
Flights to and from Italy are not included.
You have to make your own arrangements and inform us of your arrival time. We’ll arrange to pick you up from Milan Malpensa airport.
Cancellation policy
You may cancel your participation to the retreat up to June 10. You will receive a refund for your deposit less $120 cancellation fee.
Insurance is not included in the fees and it is up to you to ask international coverage with your insurance carrier, if you so decide.
Included in this Knitting Retreat:
Transfers on arrival (September 10, 2023) and departure
(September 14, 2023) by private coach from Milano Malpensa Airport. Once we know all arrival times we will inform you of meeting point and pick up time.
Accommodation for 4 nights at the Relais Villa D’Amelia in Benevello in the Langhe area
